ECUMENICAL EVENTS
  • St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Richmond.
    A series of 4 nights entitled ‘Faith Seeking Understanding’. They will be held in the church hall on Wednesdays May 5, 12, 19 and 26. On those evenings meal, coffee and snacks are available at St Stephen’s café from 6.00pm. The series of discussions by an Anglican Benedictine, Fr Phillip Turnbull,
    Leaflets available in the church.

  • Community Church of St Mark, Hodgkinson Street, Clifton Hill.
    The two events for your consideration.
    • On 3 Saturdays from 10-12am, there will be ‘Learn to dance’. On May 22 – Israeli dance: May 29 –African dance, June 5 – Contemporary dance.
    • On Saturday June 5 there will be a ‘Winter Community party’ from 5.30-8.30pm. Free admission, light meal provided, entertainment, dancing.

DEANERY ASSEMBLY

“Using Resources to reach out to the world”

The next Deanery Assembly is on
Thursday 13th May
Sts Peter & Paul Church
Dorcas St, South Melbourne
7.30 – 9.00pm

At this assembly, there will be 4 presentations of 20 mins. each. Each presentation will speak to a parish initiative of reaching out in their local community. It does promise to be an interesting and encouraging assembly for our inner-city parishes.

GOSPEL DISCUSSIONS

After our weekly Lenten sessions, a monthly discussion night is now being arranged. For the next four months, the topic will be the link between praying and being active in the world as seen in the Gospels. The first of these sessions was held on last Monday. Details of future nights are on the leaflets in the church.
The sessions are in the parish house from 7.30 – 9.00pm.

‘Women crossing boundaries in the 21st century’
SUNDAY 6TH JUNE, 2004

This exciting event is a joint venture of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan and Santa Maria College as they celebrate one hundred years of presence and ministry in Victoria and one hundred years of girls’ secondary education. In organising this event, they want to open our respective communities, friends and associates to the challenges of today’s women.

Bookings are essential as numbers are limited. Cost: $30 waged; $20 unwaged; includes lunch
